European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders including the French president charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to enact legislation governing American tech companies.
“For too long, European activists have spearheaded organised efforts to pressure American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” wrote a senior US official online. “The current administration will not stand for these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
