I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
