Incredible $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
